Quality Assurance
European Care Homes has a commitment to "partnership working" through our relationships with residents, voluntary groups, local authorities and the NHS, which is facilitated by the range of professional skills within the group. Our aim is to create long term relationships based on mutual trust, confidence and reliability by offering a wide choice of care and support services to our service users with the involvement of their relatives.
We work or have close links with a number if of organisations to ensure that we remain on the forefront of new best practice and clinical governance. These include:
- Alzheimer's Society
- Universities such as Oxford, Warwick, Bradford, Bangor, Cardiff Edinburgh, Sterling and Anglia Ruskin
- RESEC (Research into Elderly and Specialist Care)
Our close relationship with the charity RESEC, allows us to commission research projects and attend seminars and training on the latest and best thinking in regards to elderly and specialist care.
Internal Regulation and Compliance
In addition to external regulatory bodies, European Care Homes has established its own, in-house regulatory team headed by Diane Prandle, formerly a senior inspector with the Welsh regulatory body CSSIW. The team conducts regular internal audits to ensure high standards of care provision across the company. This includes health and safety checks as well as compliance and regulatory reviews.
The European Care Group has also established a specialised Dementia Development Services (DDS) department headed by, Paul Smith, a research fellow at Green Templeton College, Oxford, who works alongside other top universities, major charities and organizations to research and develop the best evidence based practices. Through these two departments, we constantly review, renew and progress our own performance and listen intently to customer feedback to increase the quality of our services.
