Senior Management

The European Care Group's Board of Directors has a combined industry experience of over 90 years. Within European Care Homes, the Board is supported by a highly skilled senior management team, all with substantial experience in health and social care, both in the public and private sectors.

In addition, a Supervisory Board was established in 2008 and is chaired by Sir John Hanson whose experiences include over 35 years in senior positions within The British Council and Emeritus Warden of Green College, University of Oxford.

Anoup Treon
Chairman/CEO, European Care Group

Anoup is a chartered accountant and has considerable experience in care homes operations, corporate development and corporate finance. He has established a number of start-up operations which, under his guidance and direction, have grown into substantial companies. He has overall responsibilities for corporate development and the strategic growth of the Group. Anoup was recently presented with the Lloyd's TSB Jewel Award for Business and Commerce Excellence, 2008.

David2David Perry
Vice Chairman, European Care Group

David has had over 20 years experience in senior management positions in the healthcare industry. His experience has been in both private and public sectors, including the position of CEO of Oxfordshire Health Authority. He has responsibility for all regulatory matters within the Group, for public affairs and is also involved, together with the Group Chairman & Chief Executive, in the design and delivery of the Group's future strategy for growth.

Pritesh

Pritesh Amlani
MD/FD, European Care Group

Pritesh is a chartered accountant with over 16 years experience in the accounting and finance industry. His experience has been in public and private practice sector with medium to large accounting firms. Pritesh has overall responsibility for day to day operations, accounting and finance functions within the Group. Pritesh also assists the Chairman & CEO on the Group's future strategy for growth.

David Davis David Davis

Chief Operating Officer, European Care Homes, UK

David is an FCCA qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years of industry experience. David brings with him substantial cross industry experience to the Care Homes Division. He has worked in a range of sectors including the NHS, Local Authorities, Retail, Investment Banking and Oil & Gas. David has also worked extensively as a Consultant to many public & private organisations and is a member of Institute of Independent Business (IIB).

 

PaulPaul Bates
HR Director, European Care Group

Paul is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He has held senior HR positions in both public and private companies in the transport, logistics and hospitality sectors. He has extensive experience in Unionised environments and has conducted negotiations at regional and national levels. For eight years prior to joining the European Care Group he was a Senior Personnel Consultant with a well respected Consultancy firm providing advice and support to small and medium sized businesses on all aspects of employment law, the design and development of company H.R. policies and procedures and the application of best management practice. He is an experienced advocate at Employment Tribunals. Paul has overall responsibility for Human Resource services within the Group.

 

paul sPaul Smith
Head of Dementia Development

Paul has been associated with European Care Group in various senior roles for over 10 years and, as Head of Dementia Development Services, is responsible for development of strategy, training and the growth of dementia care capabilities across the group.
Paul is a registered mental nurse and a qualified psychotherapist. He specialises in acute psychiatry and dementia care, and has worked extensively in both public and independent sectors. Paul also has qualifications in Group psychotherapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy and is a master practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Paul is deeply ensconced in cutting edge research on dementia care, and was a Research Fellow at the Green Templeton College, University of Oxford during 2007- 2009. He has post graduate qualifications in both dementia care and dementia studies from Leeds metropolitan and Stirling Universities and continues to study with Bradford university in a Post Grad capacity . Paul has published a number of research papers and articles. He also contributed the lead chapter on change management in 'The new culture of activity therapy with older people' (Perrin et al, Speechmark Publishers, 2006), which won the prestigious BMA book of the year award. Currently Paul is contracted with Winslow Publishers to produce a series of books on dementia care. His article on the use of pre therapy in dementia care will appear in the Nov/Dec 2010 issue of the prestigious Journal of Dementia Care.

Annabel Treon

Associate Director

Annabel graduated from the University of Cambridge with a MA (Cantab) in Economics. After a number of years in banking, she joined European Care Group in 2008. She has overall responsibility for marketing within the Group and is also involved with special projects, new builds and business development. Annabel is currently completing an MBA at London Business School.

MikeMike Higginson
Deputy COO, European Care Homes

Mike is a Registered General Nurse with over 17 years experience within the NHS and Care Homes sectors.

He has been an Operational Manager within the Care Homes sector for the last 5 years with both medium and large size providers.

He has extensive experience, and a substantial knowledge of clinical skills and working with regulators within both Wales and England.

Mike leads the operational support to the care homes in Wales and the North of England and reports to and deputises for the COO (UK) when required.

EuanEuan MacLeod
COO, European Care Homes (Alba)

Euan has worked within healthcare for over 30 years. is experience has been within both NHS and private sector and has encompassed acute psychiatry, human resource management, older people, special projects, policy development, compliance and performance management.

Euan manages services within Scotland and Ireland (The "Gaelic" division) for the care homes group, providing a diverse range of services for older people and those with an acquired brain injury, learning disability, early onset dementia mental health problems and physical disabilities.
