New Nursing Home in Gillingham
European Care Group has launched a brand new, purpose built specialist dementia nursing home in Gillingham, Dorset. Gillingham is a small market town, surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside. Nearby towns and villages include Peacemarsh, Bay and Wyke.
The home is a 75 bedded nursing care unit and there is a facility of 14 places for day care. The home has been designed specifically to meet the needs of elderly residents, and extends over two floors. Each of the 75 single bedrooms has en-suite facilities with a hand basin, WC and shower. Each bedroom also features a flat-screen television, with access to freeview and telephone points additionally some of the ground floor rooms offer patio access. Modern safety features have been fitted in each room and include a 24 hour nurse call system, thermostatic control and smoke detectors. The under floor heating system adds an extra dimension of comfort.
Gillingham Grange offers comfortable and well furnished lounges
and dining rooms, providing a meeting place for residents to relax
and entertain guests. We understand how important it is to keep in
touch with friends and relatives and our door will be always open.
The home has a dedicated activities room and offer a range of
organised activities such as gardening, music and exercise.
Residents will be encouraged to progress personal hobbies and
interests. Additional facilities, such as a hair salon, is also
available.
