Launch of Rushyfields Care Centre
Fri 05 2011

European Care Group recently celebrated the launch of the newly built Rushyfields Care Centre located in the centre of Brandon, Durham. The home was opened on Monday 9th May by Counsellor Maurice Nicholls who described it as a, "purpose built new home to offer care and support for the community, which was very much needed in Brandon". He went on to say that he was honoured to be opening it and that he was delighted to be appointed Rushyfields' adult and social care welfare officer, looking forward to working with the home in the future.
The opening ceremony also featured a keynote address from the new manager, Victoria Barnett who made the following statement "Rushyfields is care home for the future offering high quality evidence-based care for residents. The home has a hotel-quality finish, yet remains small enough to create a homely feel; the staff are looking forward to developing the home with the residents and their relatives to ensure that it consistently meets their evolving needs".
The event was well attended by various
members of the local community, including the representatives
of the NHS, Local Government, Press and other local Care Homes who
were treated to a buffet lunch prepared by resident
chefs Christopher Rawle and Jeannie Simpson.
Rushyfields Care Centre offers a comprehensive range of modern specialist care services, including dementia, nursing care, mental health, complex behaviours, challenging behaviours, gender specific services, and palliative care. The purpose-built home features 41 en-suite bedrooms split over two floors and benefits from landscaped gardens and a secure patio area set within the existing mature tree surrounding.
